Plain-language summary
The only personal information we collect is what you send us through our contact form, and we use it to respond to you. Our traffic statistics are anonymous and aggregated. We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, so the Site loads the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and lets us show our ads to people who have visited the Site. We don't sell your information. Details, including how to opt out, are below.

This website, shorelinetrapping.com (the “Site”), is operated by Shoreline Trapping Services, LLC (“Shoreline Trapping,” “we,” “us”), a Texas limited liability company and part of the Lochow Ranch family of companies, with its principal office at 8745 N State Hwy 6, Bryan, TX 77807. This policy describes what information the Site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this Site only, not to other websites we link to.
Information we collect
Information you give us (contact form)
When you submit our contact form, email us, or call us, we receive the information you choose to provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, the city or property location relevant to your inquiry, and your message. Providing this information is voluntary. We only ask for what we need to respond to your request.
Anonymous, cookieless site analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how visitors find the Site. This service is cookieless: it does not use cookies or persistent device identifiers, does not track you across other websites, and does not give us information that identifies you personally. Visits are counted using a temporary anonymous hash that is automatically discarded within 24 hours. The aggregated statistics we see include things like page URLs, referrer, country and region, browser, and device type, never your name, exact location, or IP address.
Advertising (Meta Pixel)
We advertise online through Meta (Facebook and Instagram). The Site loads the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., which records that your browser visited the Site and which pages you viewed. Meta uses cookies (such as the _fbp cookie) and similar identifiers to do this. We use the resulting data to measure whether our ads lead to visits and inquiries, and to show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have previously visited the Site (remarketing). Meta may also use this data for its own purposes, as described in Meta's Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. The pixel never receives what you write to us in the contact form. See Advertising below for your choices.
Server and security logs
Like nearly all websites, our hosting infrastructure (Vercel) processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser information) to deliver pages, maintain security, and prevent abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.
What we do NOT collect
We do not collect payment information through the Site, we do not run account registration, and we do not knowingly collect any category of sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data). We do not sell personal information. We do share the browsing data described under Advertising above with Meta so it can show our ads to people who have visited the Site, which some state privacy laws treat as sharing personal information for targeted advertising; Advertising below explains how to opt out. That sharing does not include what you write to us in the contact form.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to respond to your inquiry and provide quotes or services you request, communicate with you about work you have engaged us for, operate, secure, and improve the Site (aggregate analytics only), and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies
The Site's own features do not set cookies. The Meta Pixel described under Advertising sets cookies that let Meta recognise your browser across visits and show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, and the Site works fully without them. Our traffic statistics stay cookieless.
Separately, some pages include embedded third-party content: an embedded Google Map to show a service location. That map is loaded in a frame directly from Google, and Google may set its own cookies or collect usage data within that frame under Google's Privacy Policy. If you prefer, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting the rest of the Site.
How your information is shared
We share personal information only with the service providers that make the Site work, and only for the purposes described in this policy:
- Vercel (privacy policy): website hosting and anonymous, aggregated analytics.
- Resend (privacy policy): delivers your contact-form submission to our inbox as an email.
- Google Maps (privacy policy): embedded location maps, as described in Cookies above.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (privacy policy): advertising measurement and remarketing on Facebook and Instagram, through the Meta Pixel described above.
We may also share information within the Lochow Ranch family of companies so the right team can respond to your inquiry, and we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we have not done so.
Data retention
Contact-form submissions are delivered to us as email and retained in our business correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you, provide services, and maintain business records, after which they are deleted in the ordinary course. Aggregated analytics contain no personal information and are retained as statistics only.
Your choices and rights
You can browse the Site without providing any personal information. If you have submitted information and would like to access, correct, or delete it, email us at info@shorelinetrapping.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” and we will honor reasonable requests within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law; you may exercise them through the same address. We do not sell personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising; Advertising below lists the opt-out routes, and you may also email us at the address above.
Advertising

The pixel loads only on our live site. It reports page views and nothing you type; we do not send Meta your name, email address, phone number, or the contents of your message, and we do not run any other advertising or remarketing technology on the Site. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any notices and opt-out choices required by applicable law before the change goes live.
Your choices:
- Adjust or opt out of ads based on your activity on other websites in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings at facebook.com/ads/preferences.
- Opt out of many advertising networks at the Network Advertising Initiative page, optout.networkadvertising.org, or the Digital Advertising Alliance page, optout.aboutads.info.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site works fully without them.
Children's privacy
The Site is a business website intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us at info@shorelinetrapping.com and we will delete it.
Security
Contact-form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and processed server-side. We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
